“No!”, yelled Resten as one of the figures snatched his
friend Justin and flew into the void…
It was Monday morning. Resten, Stain and Justin, 13
year olds, ordinarily came to their school, Brendenson International. Only that
it wasn’t international, it had one school with about 24 kids in it. But that
did make sense, because ultimately it wasn’t an ordinary school. It was a
magical one. The parents were completely in the dark about this aspect of the
school. The skeletons in the biology lab could walk, balls for sports were animals,
like pigs. Many times they had fled the sports courts. Potions of strength and invisibility
were made in the chemistry lab. In the physics lab they broke all laws of
physics. History lessons were about magic used by batches of students preceding
them. Turned out they were great wizards. They were taught every language in
the world, 1 language in a few classes.
But why? Headmaster Kirl (he wasn’t a girl) had said
they would know in due time. So they kept studying and working. They didn’t have
wands, but they had to concentrate to use their powers. Resten, Stain, And
Justin had become friends their very first day of the school, and always helped
each other out, not leaving each others side no matter what. But then, one fine
day, something truly miserable happened. First there was darkness in broad
daylight, then a mist, and scary, dangerous, jet black, vampire-like creatures
flew out of it and started grabbing students, taking them into the void of the
mist. Everybody,s hearts skipped a beat. A few beats maybe. Resten and Stain
were quick enough to use a charm of light, but unfortunately Justin wasn’t..he
was the panicking sort so he couldn’t focus.
Till then the headmaster and staff produced a spell of
infinite light, and in one flash, it was all gone..just like that. All the students,
specially Resten and Stain were left in pure misery. When students started
recovering from their trauma, the headmaster began his address to the students.
My dear students of Brendenson International, we
have faced a crisis today. Hellils, the creatures you saw attacked our school and
took one of our dear students, Mr. Justin. Now,
before due time, you must be told why we were teaching you this. You all have
powers, right from the beginning. We need to polish them so you can protect
humanity and the planet.
Now the reason our planet is in danger is of
Avelinin, the strongest criminal of the galaxy. These were his forces. He is targeting
our school, because we hold something he desperately wants, the helmet of
Yoshida. What happened was, once, only sometime after Earth was born, there
were two objects of high power revolving round it. The points where rays of
their power collided formed black holes. If they would collide, there would be
a mass of nothingness, that would swallow everything. Yoshida, Savior of the Galaxy,
held them apart. He was vaporized by their powers, but the objects were stopped
in their places, not colliding. And his helmet was secured in a place, where we
were born and this school was made. That helmet is safeguarded by us. If it
falls into the wrong hands, those two objects will collide, destroying
everything.
It is said that Avelinin had 12 forces. One of
them we have encountered. You must spend all your time learning advanced magic
from your teachers now. I recommend to do research and present to us anything
you can find on the following topic.
Avelinin has discovered that we are in possession
of it, and will not give at anything to steal it from us. Now, we must use all
our powers to safeguard it from him. It will not be easy, but we shall not
panic.
A time charm has been put up for your parents, so
they don’t worry about you, and you must spend all your time here. This will
indeed be a test for even us, the staff..
By now everybody was worried and were panicking. It took
an hour to calm them, with the medics special potions. Resten and Stain really desired
to get their friend back, which would be done by destroying Avelinin. But how?
Everybody was to learn that in the coming weeks..
The headmaster’s words pondered in Resten’s head most
of the time. He was worried sick, and the thought of a master criminal ran a
chill down his spine. His friend wasn’t much better. But they were the best
spellcasters of the batch, so they had a huge responsibility. They knew they
had to fight, for the galaxy, for Justin..
