My Review of 'Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone' By 'J.K. Rowling'

Harry Potter REVIEW

This birthday, my parents gifted me the 'Harry Potter series'. Without wasting a second, I ripped off the shrink-wrap on it and started to enjoy the first book. This book really satisfied and relaxed my mind so I thought I would pen my experience about the book in a book review here. I am an avid reader and I often complete reading a book in a day but it took me around 7 days to complete the 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone', as it was very very thrilling so I used to wait after reading some pages to imagine the scene.. and its incredible fun to watch the movies after reading each book.

Book Blurb*

Turning the envelope over, his hands trembling, Harry saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake surrounding the letter 'H'. HARRY POTTER has never even heard of Hogwarts when the LETTERS start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in GREEN INK on yellowish parchment with a PURPLE SEAL, they are swiftly confiscated by his GRISLY aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed GIANT of a man called RUBEUS HAGRID bursts in with some astonishing news.

Author Bio*

J.K. Rowling , my favourite author, has written the record breaking, multi award winning Harry Potter novels. Loved by fans around the world, the series has sold over 450 million copies and has been translated into 79 languages, and made into 8 blockbuster films. She has written three companion volumes too.

My take on the book:

The first book is about Harry Potter discovering that he is not an ordinary human being, but a son of two prolific wizards. How he too gets to Hogwarts and his adventures are beautifully weaved in this book.

This book is not only the best for mystery fans like me but it is also good for those who think mystery is not their genre, because it can make people make mystery their favourite genre!

It has a very enriching and amazing vocabulary, so you see, after reading it your vocab will be very enriched and you'll have dozens of new words.

The author has never used ordinary beginnings, and has weaved the story fantastically. There is an out of the box twist after every two or three pages, so it's really thrilling.

When I was reading the amazing book, and after reading the book also I only wish that Hogwarts school exists and I could go to it but unfortunately, it does not.

I loved the whole, mysterious tale, it was so engrossing that I did not feel like putting it down.

Overall, I felt that its perfect for children as well as for adults who love mystery and not only this book, this whole series is exciting and extremely thrilling.

Why I say every day is Mother's Day

I am very very inspired by the phrase 'Everyday Is Mothers Day' because I myself think that is very true, so today I would like to share an article I wrote for my dearest mother on Mother's Day.

Happy mothers day to the one who gave me birth and made me exist in this huge world. She made me grow up with the complete warmth and never let me stand behind in anything.

Happy mothers day to the one who
Made me exist in this massive world
and took such utter care of me
And never let me stand behind in anything

Happy mothers day to the one who
helped me under all circumstance
Never let me fell alone and lonely
I love you mom, you are the best

Happy mothers day to the one who never left me alone and always stayed with me and guided me with everything like respect, homework and much more things.

Happy mothers day to the one who became my best friend and helped in life's every difficult bend. She unconditionally loves me and I try to love her back too.

Happy mothers day to the one who helped me to overcome my weaknesses and eventually turned them into my greatest strengths.

She never left me alone, but at the same time she made me independent and she is the best mother.

She is my swimming partner and My cycling coach, she also sends me in activities she doesn't know like music and robotics.

She keeps motivating me which gives me the right confidence, She is also my worst critic but criticises me in the helpful way.

I really really love you mom, you have a very special place In my heart.

Why I loved the prodigious, Kidzania Mumbai so much...

I am really enjoying my summer vacations this year for the past few weeks. There is so much leisure and I am really happy because I have no tension of rushing to school and I am very relaxed. Last week only, we have returned from our Bangalore, Mysore, Ooty and Coonoor trip which I really enjoyed. On this Saturday we went to the awesome and fascinating place~The Kidzania Mumbai and in this post I will share why I loved it so much.

We reached Kidzania around 10 a.m. and we were inside the beautiful entrance where we were greeted with a 50 KidZos cheque in our hand and we were in search of the yes bank where we could encash the cheque.

There we got to know about the concept of money at Kidzania, which were the KidZos and the Kidzania debit card. There were Atms to transact money from your Kidzania card. There were also passports which gave you extra KidZos. I was rooting to have a lot of fun.

Kidzania is the Kids nation where they can do each and every job they wanted; some would pay us while we will have to spend in others to learn a particular skill. Now I would tell you about the prodigious places I went.

I went to many different places in Kidzania which were:

The first place which was really marvellous was the Radio FM 91.1 where we had to be a radio jockey (RJ) and make the live FM telecast of FM BOLE TOH 91.1 with our dialogues on the screen. each RJ had to tell after a song  which were heart touching because of Mothers Day special.

The next place was the Parle candy factory which was amazing because they showed us how their machines add flavour and package the candy. We made our OWN candy and it was very special to relish a candy you yourself have made.

Now was the time for me to enjoy the fun of a fire fighter in Kidzania which I could not do before as there was a long long waiting for that. There they taught us how to prevent fire and what to do if there is a fire.

Next,I entered the RISING STAR shooting set where we had choices to be a camera person, judge or contestant. there was a competition between me and some others to be the judges which I won. Our parents were the audience. I was the judge and I was giving feedbacks to all the contestants. It was an adorable and lovely experience.

Our next hunt was the Dettol hospital with a waiting of 20min but it was a good experience and I loved it.I performed a liver transplant of a dummy. They taught us the controls of the machines in the hospital.

Now we were off for lunch in Kidzania, we had a pizza and Frooti. I was really excited for the activities we were going to enjoy further.

We also went to the the lovely Nickelodeon set which was a cartoon voice dubbing program of the magical show "Rudra". I dubbed the voice of Shakal there and I loved that.

As a sweets lover, I went to Mad Over Doughnuts outlet. I felt incredible on the doorstep of it. They gave us a round, bread doughnut base. We had delightful choices to dip it in different types of sauces and I chose the milk one as it was looking good.

The  last place was the Kidzania Police department where we had to find the criminal. We went to many different places for investigation like the driving school and the airport. Our conclusion was that the thief flew away to Delhi last night.

There were many other activities I engaged in before it was night and we started back for Pune. I was so overwhelmed by the experience,  really really loved it. It was amazing and I will be going there once again to finish the ones we missed out the 60 industries and 100 plus more activities. It was truly amazing!
