My Review of 'Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone' By 'J.K. Rowling'

Harry Potter REVIEW

This birthday, my parents gifted me the 'Harry Potter series'. Without wasting a second, I ripped off the shrink-wrap on it and started to enjoy the first book. This book really satisfied and relaxed my mind so I thought I would pen my experience about the book in a book review here. I am an avid reader and I often complete reading a book in a day but it took me around 7 days to complete the 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone', as it was very very thrilling so I used to wait after reading some pages to imagine the scene.. and its incredible fun to watch the movies after reading each book.

Book Blurb*

Turning the envelope over, his hands trembling, Harry saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake surrounding the letter 'H'. HARRY POTTER has never even heard of Hogwarts when the LETTERS start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in GREEN INK on yellowish parchment with a PURPLE SEAL, they are swiftly confiscated by his GRISLY aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed GIANT of a man called RUBEUS HAGRID bursts in with some astonishing news.

Author Bio*

J.K. Rowling , my favourite author, has written the record breaking, multi award winning Harry Potter novels. Loved by fans around the world, the series has sold over 450 million copies and has been translated into 79 languages, and made into 8 blockbuster films. She has written three companion volumes too.

My take on the book:

The first book is about Harry Potter discovering that he is not an ordinary human being, but a son of two prolific wizards. How he too gets to Hogwarts and his adventures are beautifully weaved in this book.

This book is not only the best for mystery fans like me but it is also good for those who think mystery is not their genre, because it can make people make mystery their favourite genre!

It has a very enriching and amazing vocabulary, so you see, after reading it your vocab will be very enriched and you'll have dozens of new words.

The author has never used ordinary beginnings, and has weaved the story fantastically. There is an out of the box twist after every two or three pages, so it's really thrilling.

When I was reading the amazing book, and after reading the book also I only wish that Hogwarts school exists and I could go to it but unfortunately, it does not.

I loved the whole, mysterious tale, it was so engrossing that I did not feel like putting it down.

Overall, I felt that its perfect for children as well as for adults who love mystery and not only this book, this whole series is exciting and extremely thrilling.
